McDonald’s Woolwich opens its doors for Green Day

11th January 2010: McDonald’s Woolwich will open its doors to offer members of the local community the chance to look behind the scenes of the world’s most famous restaurant chain, and to learn about the green initiatives in place and those planned for the restaurant during 2010.

McDonald’s Woolwich Green Day will take place on 27th January and will see interested customers welcomed on a guided tour of the restaurant, where they can find out about the various environmentally friendly initiatives the restaurant has introduced to protect and preserve the environment. The tour will cover all aspects of the restaurant from dining area to kitchen, followed by a question and answer session.

Speaking about the event, McDonald’s Woolwich Franchisee Taimoor Sheikh said: “Our Green Day is about building on the relationships we already have with our local customers and giving them the opportunity to see first hand our commitment to achieving continuous environmental improvement, which has an impact both locally and globally.”

Green Day tours are available on 27th January 2010 at 9.30am, 2.30pm, 4pm and 6pm. Customers can book a tour by phoning Taimoor or store manager Martin on 020 8317 0102 . Alternatively, bookings can be made inside the Powis Street restaurant.
