SHARED EARTH was one of the first Fair Trade shops to open in the UK in York selling a small range of fair trade goods and recycled and sustainable products.



Fair Trade is a growing trend and the publics interest is part of a general concern amongst consumers about the ethical issues behinds the products they buy.



SHARED EARTH has a large and diverse product range which includes fashion jewellery, hand-carved wooden homeware and jute and cotton bags from India, handmade paper cards and photo albums from the Philippines and children's wooden stationary products from Indonesia.



SHARED EARTH buy from over 35 overseas suppliers from around 14 countries, making them the largest retailer and wholesaler of Fair Trade products in the UK with their own shops located in York, Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, Cardiff, Bristol and Birmingham. They are also members of BAFTS (The British Association of Fair Trade shops) and IFAT (International Fair Trade Association).
