GLASSeco Limited makes worktops and interesting surfaces from recycled post-use consumer glass, Each linear metre of GLASSeco diverts 100 bottles from landfill.

GLASSeco Limited was the winner of the National Recycling Award for its commitment to the environment and sustainability.



The company diverts waste glass from landfill and turns it into beautiful worktops for domestic and commercial applications. Wine & beer bottles, jam-jars and even old TV screens are crushed into 1000s of tiny sparkling cullets which are then bound together in an epoxy resin (85%:15%) to create a hard-wearing surface similar in appearance and behaviour to granite.



GLASSeco worktops can be made in any size or shape and, by changing the resin colour, can be colour matched to suit most individual tastes.



The company creates different finishes by adding discarded shells, crushed mirror & CDs, aluminium filings and copper chips - which were all on their way to landfill. The tops are made in a purpose-designed eco factory where water is recycled three times, minimal electricity is expended and no waste is created.
