Canoe Adventures offers guided canoeing in Voyager 12-seat canoes, going out from beside the famous Maltsters Arms at Tuckenhay between Totnes and Dartmouth in South Devon's green South Hams, where runs the glorious River Dart. Voyager canoes happily embark small children and adult novices, as well as suiting bold adventurers.

The youngest guest-crew so far was little Sarah, then 12 days old. But the eldest was Mr George, 87.

The Voyagers come with steeersman, skills, bouyancy, paddles, picnic mats, flint and steel lit campfire brazier, bbq kit when required, flying basha shelter, tea coffee and hotchoc.

The canoes go out for 4 to 5 hours over the turn of a tide, using it as engine. Everyone is invited to bring their favourite picnics. Picnic and bbq stops are made at the riverside. We often stop for an ice cream at Stoke Gabriel, across the Dart from Tuckenhay. Moonlight tides offer the chance to dine ashore a few miles along the river, paddling home under the moon with a riverbank campfire hotchoc halt on route. Sharpham Winery by canoe is another favourite. Occasional trips go from Noss Mayo on the Yealm, South Ham’s hidden jewel.

Guest-crews include Guides, Scouts, schools, families, friends, birthdays, hens, stags, corporates, doctors, nurses, artists, poets, professors, military, even a lifeboat crew.
