The Bags of Change website lists a growing network of independent retailers that sell fairtrade, local, organic and sustainable goods.

Bag owners also receive a free monthly e-newsletter that gives them all the latest news on ethical shopping in their area.

The 2007 Bag of Change costs £14-85 and comes in three colour schemes (red, blue and green). The fabric is organic hemp-cotton and the buttons are coconut shell. All the processing of the bag is low impact and the fabric, dyes and prints are biodegradable.
