The EcoVillage brings green events in 2010

The EcoVillage now in its third year and going from strength to strength. Founded in 2008 with a single annual event, The EcoVillage now brings you four events in 2010.

The Kent based events organiser created The EcoVillage to sit within large scale mainstream events and help organisations promote green products, services and initiatives. This year, The EcoVillage will be exhibiting at The Kent County Fair, The South of England Show, The BBCs Gardeners World Live and The Kent County Show.

The EcoVillage will be making its debut at the Kent County Fair, The Hops Farm, Paddock Hill on 1, 2 and 3rd May. The dedicated exhibition area will feature over 50 ‘green’ exhibitors, interactive displays and demonstrations.

The EcoVillage will also be exhibiting for the first time at the South of England Show at Ardingly, West Sussex on 10, 11 and 12th June. The dedicated exhibition area will feature over 120 ‘green’ exhibitors, interactive displays, demonstrations and a picnic area.

Also new this year to The EcoVillage portfolio, will be The BBC Gardeners World Live, based on the successful BBC Gardeners World Magazine and TV programme, at The NEC from 16-20th June. A hugely prestigious show where The EcoVillage exhibitors will have access to customers nationwide and visitors will have the opportunity to find ‘green’ products and services in one dedicated area.

Finally, The EcoVillage will be for the third year running at The Kent County Show on 16th, 17th and 18th July. The area will feature over 100 exhibitors within almost 7000 sq m of space, making it one of the largest exhibition areas within the Show. The Picnic Area will be sponsored by Riverford Organic who will be carrying out cookery demonstrations aimed at making cooking from scratch easier.

Victoria Whitlock, The EcoVillage Director, said:

“We believed that people wanted to become more environmental friendly but found the information out there overwhelming. Our aim was to make it easy for people to live a greener life. Bringing together a wide range of exhibitors gives the public a chance to speak to companies face to face”
