Don’t sit with your laptop on charge all day. Un-plug it and let the battery wear down, it better for the computer too. The only problem is you have to remember to plug it back in when it reminds you too and the battery is low!

Use a laptop rather than a desktop its more energy efficient.

Set your laptop to energy saving mode for when you are away. START>CONTROL PANEL>DISPLAY>SCREEN SAVER>POWER

Take a cup to the water cooler rather than wasting plastic cups.

Sign up for online banking and ask them to stop sending you statements.

Walk!

Re-use water in the kitchen and using a water butt in the garden. Watering plants, etc.

Use your recycling bins properly.

Take old clothes/books to a charity shop/give them to your friends/sell them on, rather than throwing them out.

Read newspapers online rather than buying them, it wastes less paper!

Full loads in the washer and do not use the tumble dryer when the weather is nice!

Grow your own vegetables.

Start a compost heap.

Turn everything off standby.

Buy/eat food that is produced locally, country of origin is marked at the supermarket or buy from a local farmer.
